Meeting Summary – April 17, 2009

Fellow Toastmasters and most welcomed guests,

Ron K. having a great time behind the podium.

Ron K. having a great time behind the podium.

Our meeting for this month was full of long-time club veterans and also sparked an excellent discussion of how to encourage growth and networking in our club.

Liliana’s speech on the effects of ‘twittering’ and the ‘death of the blog’ led into an interesting presentation of how we, as humans, use the web to build a community.  Tanya’s evaluation of Liliana cited that there was still ‘hair-playing’ during the speech, although it was not very noticeable. :)

At the end of the meeting during the open discussion, we have decided as a club to start a Facebook account to allow our club members to more easily network and share.  More information will be posted here when an account is created.

Be good humans!
